learn from the ex perience Solinst Canada Ltd in Glen Williams has gained through participation in the pro vinces Technical Personal Pro gram during a luncheon at the North Golf and Country Club in Georgetown Solinst President Doug addressed the luncheon speaking on how the provinces funding program for small businesses permitted the com pany to expand TTP which is administered by the Ministry of Trade and Technology provides funding to those companies wanting to hire scientific or technical personnel where companies may not other wise have been able to hire ac cording to a Ministry press release The program allowed Solinst to hire an employee who had tise in an area the company had determined it was deficient in said Mr Belshaw in an interview before the luncheon Mr Belshaw wouldnt expand any more on the new position Solinst manufactures ground water monitoring and eqt neat said Mr Belshaw If a company is permitted to hire a person through the pro gram the province will SO per cent of the person s salary during the first year and 25 per cent of the persons salary over the second year to a maximum of said provincial coor dinator Bill Lampert Mr Lampert went on to say since the pro ram was introduc ed m September 1989 well over 300 companies have come on board The program has been allocated million of which million has already been distributed he said The program has far
