Georgetown resi dent Rod Mr Pinkney said following the meeting over people attended the public information session and those in attendance said the partys biggest appeal is its sup port for huge cutbacks to the number of federal government civil servants and stand for tougher immigration legislation OnceJn power the party would make drastic reductions in federal government middle and senior management civil servant positions said Mr On the issue of immigration Mr Pinkney said Canadas cur rent immigration laws make it too easy for people to claim refugee status I dont buy that just because a boat load of people spend money to get to Canada that they should automatically be granted refugee status said Mr He also commented the party would attempt to improve the Making space in your kitchen It is a common fact that in most homes the kitchen is the centre of at tention Although the living room or family room is usually the most com fortable the kitchen has always been the traditional spot for members of the family to gather It is another well- known fact that there is never enough space in this particular room of the house no matter how large it may be There are a few things that you can keep in mind to maximize kitchen space Some require remodelling while some can be put into practice at any time First of all bulky appliances like electric mixers blenders and food processors should not be kept on the counter where they take up valuable space and make the kitchen look clut tered An appliance garage which is really just extended cupboard space large enough for small appliances with a rolldown panel or hinged doors keeps them neatly tucked away when they are not in use Electrical outlets can be included in this space so the appliances can be used where they sit If you are having your cabinets re done a is a great way to conserve space It is especially handy for rounded bottles and tall circular I REAL ESTATE AND YOU Jamie Johnston containers that take up like the party question the need for the federal govern ment to fund multicultural and bilingual programs The party believes its great that people retain aspects of their culture and language when
