Wednesday at the highest survivor of the Volpe Division s quarter final round Georgetown and Nelson senior rugby teams met head to head yesterday at Field in what is likely to be a preview of their opening playoff match up on Thursday Since the fourth and fifth ed teams meet the two teams currently tied at six points each battled it out to decide who would be the host for the post season game Georgetown had the edge in scoring so Nelson required a victory to claim fourth Junior rugby Rebels were prior to their game at home to Bishop Reding on Tuesday with both teams far out of playoff con tention Midget rugby Rebels have yet to score a single point and are in fifth place with two points due to a default As with the seniors the midgets last regular season game Bishop Reding yester day was a prelude to the opening of the playoffs as Rebels visit Reding on Thursday In Softball action Georgetown as of May 12 had a 1 record and was in a four way tie for third place Since only the top four teams advance Rebels need a win today Wednesday against Notre Dame and on May 22 against Pearson both at the Fairgrounds Results from Mon day s game at Nelson were unavailable at press time Again
