part of an exchange set tip by District High School Last year it was the Erin students who travelled to Germany It is a short stay for the German students who arrived on May 24th and leave on the While here the group has been sight seeing which includes trips to Niagara Falls Canada s Wonderland and a to a Blue Jay s game Last week C W meeting was not lengthy Gertrude Shor till and Mary headed the program and gave the Devotion and Bible reading Last minute details were attended to for the dinner the ladies catered for on Ballinafad News the 24th About SO people from a United Church in Toronto came out for their annual country din ner This group has been coming out to the United Church for many years With the Minister away last Sunday the choirs conducted the service A collection of old songs were sung and Bible readings were recited The Jim Dandies put away the Marauders last week with a score of 154 The ladies have two games this week playing in Ballinafad on Thursday and Glen garden The Glen Community will shortly be announcing the construction of a village garden on the corner of Confederation and Main St in Glen Williams For the past five yCars the Glen Williams Town Hall Board has been working with Halton Hills Recreation to make this project feasi Now thanks to their efforts together with a most generous dona of shrubs and trees from Sheridan Nursery this project should be starting very soon Materials and equipment have been donated by local businessmen Wheelers Haulage Spence Grass Ropjs Haines Sand and Gravel and Bobby Clarke Volunteers will be needed for planting etc as the Glen Community have offered to do their own labour to offset the costs the Glen will need for this project Monetary and physical donations will be gladly accepted For of the Women s Institute travelled to the Agricultural Museum last Friday Here they were join by about other ladies all Women s Institute from other chapters in Well ington and Counties The ladies came for an orientation which lasted from about to 30 m At the museum there is an actual Women Institute Hall As there are a number of ac tivities at the museum over the summer a schedule was set up where members would be present to answer questions from visitors to the museum The chapter will be on hand on August 10th during the quilt exhibition The group will also be fundrais- by serving coffee and cookies Horticultural event The Acton Horiticultural Society had a very sue Dorean Boyle and Mary display some of sale at the on Saturday selling out all the few remaining plants they had for sale
