Wednesday successfully satisfied concerns over Gorgetown s Silver Creek raised by Oakville Regional Councillor John Graham but failed to address concerns over the valley raised by local residents Ashley and Marilyn King Council overturned an earlier recommendation by the Region Administration and Finance Committee and directed Regional staff to provide Coun Graham with a report tracing all information accumulated on all projects proposed for the valley These projects include the twmn ing of the Silver Creek Trunk Sewer Test Well and the realignment of the Silver Creek Trunk Sewer main among others Administration and Finance Committee members at first op posed Coun Graham s request because he didn t provide reason to justify the re quest Committee Chairperson Joyce Savolme told Council members In response Coun Graham said it was a simple request of which similar types have been made in the past Regional Council finally decid ed to direct staff to provide the councillor as well as any other in councillor with the re quested report Ms King and Mr Ranson however t as fortunate at obtaining what they wanted from Regional Council The two urged Council to direct staff to conduct a cumulative pact study on how the various projects proposed for the valley would impact on the surrounding environment Mr Ranson and Ms King argues it is wrong for staff to con tinue to consider the environmen impact of each project in dmdually I m concerned all the in formation won t be available for council to decide what if any projects proposed for the should go ahead given the
