plan deferred In response to a request by local environmentalist John Minns Town General Committee decided Monday to defer a staff recommendation that a estate plan subdivision on the Ninth Line abutting Gten Williams be approved The recommendation will go before Council this Monday for final approval Mr Minns argued some of the neighboring residents had not been given sufficient time to review the staff report on the development proposal Parking meter hikes Halton Hills General Commit tee recommended Monday the parking meter rates tor downtown Georgetown be in creased from 25 cents to 50 cents and the time limits be increased from one to two hours The recommendation will go before Council this Monday for final approval wants money Staff was directed Monday by Town General Committee to determine if the Town should donate to local En vironmental group Protect Our Water Environmental Resources POWER to help finance the groups legal fees in its fight for Amendment Amendment is being propos ed by the Niagara Escarpment Commission and If approved would ban landfills from the escarpment The amendment is currently before a hearing to determine its legitimacy and
