Halton HUls councillors have publicly announced they will be running in the November municipal election However two challengers have taken the first steps towards running a cam for the fall election Georgetown residents Arthur Trebbne and Tom have submitted papers to the Town permitting them to solicit cam contributions Their can wont become official til they submit their nomination forms to the Town between the required dates of Oct 9 and Oct Arthur Trebbne Contacted Monday Mr sajd he was still undecided if he would run in the election He sub mitted the form to solicit cam paign contributions so most of the paperwork would be done if he decided to run If he does run it will be in Ward 3 The current Town councillors for Ward are Pat McCarthy and Anne The Wards Regional representative is Pam Johnston Mr however has decided he will run for one of the Town council seats in Ward 3 Mr who has no political experience said Friday development will be a major issue in his campaign Im prodevelopment said the Georgetown National Real Estate Service agent Mr said he supports both Industrial and residential development The Town tax rate is high because the community lacks
