Fairgrounds where baseball teams from various McDonalds will play to see who is the best in Southern Ontario Chandler owns and operates three McDonalds stores in the area Georgetown Milton and Wood Mr First against a strong squad was beaten 277 with Longhorns scor ing all its points in the first half while Meznic managed its major in the second Bill Taylor got two touchdowns while Bob Davey also had a pair Howie Hulme got six points for Meznic In the second game both The Glen and Meznic squeezed all the scoring into the first half with Meznic again just managing one touchdown by Gary Lockwood Peter got two touchdowns to help The Glen win defeated M and M 3615 later in the day lead by Al who pulled in two touchdowns a convert and an interception For M and M Mark snagged a 50yard pass for a will be able to reach my potential there Under the complicated regula tions governing US College athletic competition Rieger is currently eligible for 3 years of running with the university His scholarship amounts to per cent of his costs with the possibili ty of rising to per cent depen ding on his performance His academic program will consist of a major in Business with a minor in the Physical Sciences He must maintain a 20 average to retain his scholarship and he will average hours of course work per week plus 34 hours of train ing every day leaves for New Mexico on August 19th and his classes start on the 26th He expects to be in competition almost im mediately with the University track team in the Western Athletic Conference and hopes to be part of New Mexicos deter mined effort to unseat the peren nial champions Brigham Young Keith will concentrate on the 3000m distance for indoor events and 5000m outdoors and when asked what his longer term goals might be his eyes light up at the barest hint of running for Canada in international events At age might seem a little old to be embarking on a high level running career but in the distances he runs the com petitors tend to peak in their late twenties Keith is obviously excited about this sudden revival of an almost forgotten skill and the op portunities opening up Without the support of my family and friends I
