Hoosiers hope for last softball playoff spot The Firestone Halton Hills Girls Bantam Softball team did what it had to do last Wednesday with a come- from behind victory over second place Cawthra Panthers The win left Hoosiers one point ahead of Brampton Blazers in the hunt for playoff spot Firestone now has to sit back and wait as its regular season is over while Brampton still has two games left to play Brampton needs to take two of the possible Wednesday July 1991 four points in order to knock out of contention Firestone made it hard on themselves committing five er during the game captured the National Solo Twirl title Both girls also represented On tano as two of the top five athletes from each province in the freestyle championships which select the team of athletes who will represent Canuda in ly this week at the annual World Championships In the Junior division Chisholm placed moving up two positions from last year Thibodeau was one of only two Ontario Seniors who made the lop in the Freestyle event This is a big jump in the standings for her placing 25th last year said her success can be attributed to her being one of the Kings National World Team members who earned the silver medai in Calgary This elite team is comprised of the Kings top athletes from across Canada and the level of expertise required to be on this team has pushed her skills much higher this year The Kings hope to improve upon this silver medal finish at next years National Champion ships being held Ontario next July If they get the gold Suan and the team will represent Canada in
