three straight games on the weekend Game ones pitcher Chris Scul ly led the way with nine strikeouts against Acton Blue while adding a homerun and a run to the score Two runs from David Lajeunesse and one each from Kevin Arnold Ryan Bailey and Nathan French gave the team the lead they needed for the final 76 score gained an easy 275 win in game two against Acton Red with seven strikeouts by Scully battle Friday night It wasnt a bloody reinactment of the recent Persian Gulf War but a determined push for a win by either the Bellamys Restaurant Expos or the Daves Service Centre Tigers of the Georgetown Baseball Associa tions combined Bantam-Midget- Juvenile league The game was played They the players are hang ing in there said Tigers coach Elaine Duke In every game theyre playing hard and theyre playing headsup Our guys came back very well Those words were echoed by Expos coach Doug Pennce whose only complaint involved absences Although nine players did make the 15 m game for boys between the ages of and 19 years it was nearly cancelled because of poor turnout That could have nudged the op ponents score this season from its already nearperfect record which stood at seven wins one loss and no lies Expos were holders of a record The bottom of the first inning saw Eric and Mark Mit chell each hit triples while team mates Carl Elgin and Joel Koeslag walked Expos were leading
