The fall training program for crisis line volunteers at the Halton Rape Crisis Centre will begin Oct 21 at the centres Burlington office and continue for eight consecutive Mondays Margaret Perry the volunteer coordinator for the Halton Rape Centre said volunteers are asked to commit themselves to a year and are required to work four shifts of sixtoeight hours a month Crisis line workers are active listeners providing non- judgemental support said Ms Perry We expect our workers to listen and help the caller identify their options and help them make decisions based on these options She
