Wednesday November the HERALD Sports ATHLETES OF THE WEEK GEORGETOWN HIGH SCHOOL a grade 10 junior swimmer had an outstanding day at second swim meet last Tuesday She took first in the backstroke and 100m Intermediate Medley and helped her team to a first place finish freestyle relay and medley relay MATT BRAIN a grade junior swimmer had a personal best last Tuesday placing second in the 50m freestyle race at Ss second swim meet this season In addition to this he helped his team win the junior boys medley relay ladies basketball Killer Cs Ateam remain on top The Killer and remain tied for first in the Ladies league after their respective victories last Wed nesday In the blow out match of the week the Killer rolled over TimeIns a record high scoring so far this season Killer power forwards Chung Kim Charlotte and Carolyn Stewart led the scoring with 20 poin ts each The teams offensive at tack was rounded out with 16 points by both Anita and Michelle Robinson Heather Lawrence put in her usual outstanding performance racking up 22 points for TimeIns The team continues to lose however because the team of fensive contribution remains a solo effort Tied for first with the This spiel is held in honor of a great lady who curled at this club for many years until she was well in her and has been running since We hold it early in the season and encourage new curlers to join in if possible to in troduce them to this great sport The Trophy winning teams was skipped by Karin Henderson with Mae Cart and karen Sandy Peir played vice in the first game and Gail Layton played Geddings have entered the District InterCity competition which began on Nov 1st There are 12 teams in volved from Orangeville Elmira Guelph Acton and North Halton Our final trophy day will be held on
