man had his tires slashed while at a Georgetown bar Dec Police report an Acton man had been trying to pick a fight with the man because the complainants brother was living with the suspects ex- investigation con tinues Unexpected visit Halton Regional Police report a Halton Hills family received unex pected visitors Sunday when an out- car slid onto the rear deck of their house The incident oc curred when an Acton man driving a 1987 Ford pickup entered a curve on Mill St and lost control of his vehicle running it off the road and striking a sign pole before running over a hedge wood planter then rolling onto the road and sliding in to the deck The pickup was demolished and the driver sustained minor injuries He was charged with impaired driving and driving without a valid licence Niagara Falls man driving a sedan was pulling away from the curb into the path of an Dodge sedan driven by an Acton man The Dodge struck the which spun around and lost a headlight which went flying Breaking rails Police charged a Guelph man with failing to stop after he collided with a Chevrolet driven by a Georgetown woman at 10th Line north of 22 Sideroad The woman was westbound on 22 Sideroad travelling through the intersection when the Guelph man driving a 1990 Ford proceeded into the in tersection and they collided The collision forced the Georgetown woman into a slide and she ended up breaking through three guard rails and came to rest down an em bankment She suffered minimal injuries but her car was demolished His car only received minordamages Pedestrian hit Police say a pedestrian walking along Queen St north of St in Georgetown was hit by a car out of control Dec 3 Police say the incident occurred when a Georgetown woman driving a 1986 Chevrolet sedan lost control of her car mounted the curb and struck the pedestrian The woman then struck a hydro pole spun around and hit a Chevrolet driver unknown Four people in the sedan were injured ranging from minimal to major injuries No charges were laid Tools stolen Tools and a television were stolen from a gravel pit shed on the 5th Line in Halton Hills overnight Dec 5 police report The culprits smashed a window and reached in to unlock the door to gain entry The place wasnt ransacked but the above mentioned items were stolen Lost indentify A Georgetown mans drivers license cheque book wallet and credit cards were stolen from his Webster Way home Friday night say police Police say an unknown person used a prying bar to open two doors to the house and then went directly to a coat hung over a chair in the living room and removed the wallet Police believe the suspect was then frightened off by the complainant and his returning home They saw him flee in a new model Broncotype truck that was either black SERGEANT DAN FARR The Halton Regional Police in Milton and Crime Stoppers of are asking for the com munitys assistance in identify ing the man responsible for an assault upon two children ages and years On Thursday the of November young boys were playing hide and seek in the townhouse complex situated at Woodward Ave Milton At pm a brown 4 door car believed to be a Chevrolet Malibu with several square drove into the complex There was a man in late to early driving the car and a female passenger The driver questioned one of the boys as to what they were doing and then drove around the complex twice and left A short time later this same man came back on foot and ap proached the boys He yelled at them to come over to him and then chased one of the boys He caught one young fellow and grabbed him by the throat and threw him up against the building He then carried the first victim over to where the second victim was standing and he grab bed the second boy by the throat and told him he was going to hurt them both much worse if he ever sees them again The suspect released both boys and they ran home and reported the incident to Fire Calls Hills firefighters were called to supervise the area at Churchill Rd and Cedar in Ac ton Dec when construction workers broke a natural gas pipe There was no need to evacuate nearby residents so firefighters stood by until the natural gas com pany came to repair the leak The next day at 115 am firefighters were called to Standard Products in Georgetown when a chimney caught fire The fire star ted in the flue of the chimney and was almost entirely doused by a sprinkler inside the flue Firefighters were required to take the flue apart and remove the debris still burning inside There was no damage The last call firefighters report was on Friday at 452 pm when they were called to a motor vehicle accident at Winston Churchill Boulevard and Old Pine Crest Rd When they arrived no one was trap ped in their their vehicles so they werent needed for anything other than support The firefighters have no information on who was involved In the accident nor the nature of in juries and damage police The suspect is described as a male white years of age medium build with short whitishgrey hair wearing large glasses and a brown jacket possibly suede and black pants The assault upon these two young boys was totally unprovok ed The suspects
