Just in their second year of play, the Lady Hawks had eight players playing up one age group so that Oakville could field an under-15 team and had several newcom- ers to the sport. But in the bronze medal game they had everyone contributing with seven different players scoring goals, led by Thalia Zolis, who scored a pair. Also scoring were Paige Strychaluk, Erin Murray, Bridget Doyle, Rachel Bolland and Emily Cummings. Meanwhile, Rebekah Keene made several key saves in the final minutes to give Oakville the chance to score the winner. Oakville opened the tournament with a 9-2 loss to Six Nations, which went on to win the gold medal by beating Orillia in the final. Zolis and Doyle had the Hawks goals. Oakville bounced back with a 9-6 victory over Owen Sound with Cordingley scoring four times. Zolis also had a hat trick and Murray had the Lady Hawks other two goals. Natasha Beaudoin recorded the win in net. Zolis had the lone goal as Oakville fell 10-1 to Orillia.
