Each year, new residents and new homeowners may pick-up two Blue Boxes free of charge; current residents may pick-up one Blue Box free of charge. Additional Blue Boxes can be picked up at the following locations: Dogs from across town will be wagging their tails Sunday at The Dog Rescuers Inc.s (DRI) annual Tails in Town fundraiser. Palermo Leash Free Park will be the place for dog owners to par- ticipate in various activities to sup- port the organization. There will be a barbecue hosted by the Oakville Fire Department, and the fun will include festivities such as a dunk tank, dog demonstrations, ask the vet, ask the trainer, a nail trim station, detector dog demos, an animal communicator, paint a paw and more. A selection of items will be up for bids in a silent auction. DRI is a non-profit organization based in Oakville. It is run by a group of volunteers with a passion for rescuing and re-homing all breeds of dogs.
