For the past three years, area elementary school students have flexed their creativity through Halton Regions Waste Management Calendar Cover Art Contest, which starts anew this fall. Students from kindergarten to Grade 8 who live or attend school in Halton are invited to submit their artwork for the contest. Four entrants will be selected to have their artwork appear on the cover of the 2012 Waste Management Guide and Collection Calendar,. Winners will also receive an envi- ronmental prize package. All entries will be available for viewing at the Halton Regional Centre (1151 Bronte Rd.) during Waste Reduction Week, Oct. 17 to 23. The deadline for submissions is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14.
