Regional Human Resources Manager Metroland Media Group currently has an opening for a Regional Human Resources Manager located in Burlington, Ontario for our Halton and Niagara Regions. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide guidance and consulting to ensure that business practices are promoted and supported by HR practices. This includes: 1. Resources Managing and Coordinating all aspects of the recruitment and selection process 2. Employee Relations Providing guidance and assistance to management and employees by listening, counseling, supporting and making appropriate recommendations in accordance with company policies/procedures and government legislation, and the requirements of the business unit. 3. Ensuring legal compliance is met with respect to all relevant employment and contractual legislation. 4. Promoting operational excellence within the HR function by: a. Identifying and implementing HR process improvements; b. Targeting resource efforts based on analysis of past practices, successes and future requirements; c. Ensuring recruitment process promotes timeliness, cost- effectiveness and co-ordination of resources; d. Providing efficient and timely HR services effectively utilizing available technology. 5. Training & Development - Facilitating internal training seminars/ workshops and Human Resources programs. In addition, work in conjunction with our Corporate Training & Development department to communicate our corporate programs, including in-class training, webinars and on-site training sessions. Skills & Experience ? 3-5 years experience in an HR Manager generalist role ? Related college or university degree and CHRP designation or working towards; ? Strong communication, both written and verbal ? Strong Interpersonal Skills ? Ability to work within a fast paced dead-line driven environment ? Strong project and time management skills; ? Managerial courage, political savvy: ?
