Oakville split its four games at provincials with its two losses coming at the hands of the Vaughan Vikings A team, including a 17-5 defeat in the final. Ciara Papaioannou and Emily Dodge hit home runs in the loss for the Angels. Oakville's wins in the provincial tournament came against Guelph (10-9) and Vaughan Vikings B (4-1). Katie Jaeggin had five RBI in the victory over Guelph. The second-place finish at provincials earned the Angels a trip to the nationals, which were held in Vaughan. Being a first-year novice 14U team, the Angels competed in the Bowl Division at nationals, where they rolled to a 6-0 record in pool play. Oakville followed up the strong preliminary y round with a 5-4 win over Vaughan B to earn a meeting with the Guelph Gators in the final. Papaioannou doubled home Charlene Cruz, Katie Lehoux and Dodge in the first inning, but the Gators responded with 11 unanswered runs to down the Angels 11-3. Oakville's pool wins came over the Ancaster Blizzard (9-0), Guelph (11-6), Nova Scotia B (8-1), Nova Scotia A (8-1), Stratford (6-5) and Vaughan B (5-3). Sarah Benn pitched three hitless innings in relief for the Angels versus Ancaster, striking out four, while Papioannou had three hits and Dodge collected four RBI against Guelph. Also contributing to the team's success this year were Nicole Lemieux, Karly Gomes, Linea Wellman, Tristan Hutchinson, Jordyn French, Celine Trapnell, Amy Hanstke, Justice Noftle, Nicole Setterfield and Cassidy Burton.
