Flynn wins again By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF Kevin Flynn will serve a third term as Oakville's Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP). The Liberal incumbent beat his nearest rival Oakville Progressive Conservative candidate Larry Scott with an outcome of 21,581 votes to 17,122 -- with Flynn receiving 48 per cent of the popular vote. Oakville NDP candidate Lesley Sprague received 4,615 votes while the Green Party's Andrew Chlobowski got 879; Independent Mike Harris received 497; Family Coalition candidate Jonathan Banzuela managed 204 and the Freedom Party's Steve Hunter got 167 votes. These numbers are based on the final un-official tally. At 10:15 p.m., a beaming Flynn arrived at the Operating Engineers Banquet Hall and Conference Centre after it had become clear the lead he had enjoyed all evening would not be overtaken. More than 100 supporters cheered Flynn's name as he entered the building and chanted `Four more years' over and over as Flynn embraced many of those who had come to see him. "Obviously, I am pleased about this," said Flynn in a media interview shortly after his arrival. "I think this came as a result of us running what I think was a "Kevin is the people's champion.
