Oakville sliced up the Buffalo Jr. Sabres 7-0 Friday, then snuffed out the Stouffville Spirit 6-2 Saturday to improve to 10-2 on the season. Seven different Blades -- Stephen Hickey, Braedan Russell, Connor McGlynn, Brandon Denham, Tyler Karius, Jordan Coccimiglio and Brad Kobryn -- scored Friday in support of James Prigione, who made 25 saves to record the shutout. Stefan Thompson added three assists in the rout. Saturday, Coccimiglio paced the Blades with two goals and an assist while Chris Taylor, Martin Kudla, Denham and Karius added singles. Bradley Ryan contributed three helpers from his defence position, and Michael Stiliadis notched the win in goal with 24 saves. It will be a busy next six days for the Blades, who have four games scheduled over that span. Oakville will visit the Newmarket Royals tomorrow (Thursday), host the Burlington Cougars Friday (7:30 p.m. at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex), travel to Hamilton Monday to face the Red Wings, and visit Buffalo Tuesday.
