A second unofficial Remembrance Day ceremony will take place at the Trafalgar Memorial, located in the east end of Memorial Park at the corner of Oak Park Boulevard and Central Park Drive, on Friday at 11 a.m. Organized by Ward 5 Councillors Jeff Knoll and Marc Grant and others, the ceremony's audience has steadily grown in size since the Trafalgar Memorial was dedicated in 2005. Meanwhile, the Burl-Oak Naval Veterans will host a Remembrance Day Sunrise Parade at 9 a.m. Friday at the Canadian Naval Ships Memorial in Spencer Smith Park in neighbouring Burlington. The ceremony will include the remembrance and laying of wreaths in memory of all those who took part in wars, especially those who gave their lives to preserve our freedom.
