For 10 years, he was a clown for Toronto's Santa Claus Parade. Other beneficiaries of Budd's contribution to Oakville and the surrounding area include the Oakville Community Foundation, Oakville Cancer Society Golf Tournament, Royal Botanical Gardens, RBC Arts, the Good Shepherd Golf Tournament, the YMCA, and Toronto's Sick Children's Hospital. · June Cockwell l -- With her husband, Ian, she established the Amarna Group in 2004 to identify and meet community needs in Oakville. The foundation made a significant donation to the new Oakville hospital. Cockwell served on the board of the Oakville Community Foundation, and has been chair for the past two years. In 2006, she launched a non-profit agency in Oakville, known as HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters). For the last two years, Cockwell has also been co-chair of the Halton Poverty Roundtable, a group dedicated to raising awareness of poverty in Halton, as well as bringing resources to needs they have identified.
