Fareshare needs high school students to assist with its holiday food drive, which runs Friday, Oakville man dies in Sunday crash A 42-year-old Oakville father of two is dead following a single vehicle collision on Mississauga's Laird Road early Sunday morning. Peel police received a 911 call at around 1:12 a.m., reporting a heavily damaged Mazda found slammed into a large boulder, which marks the end of Laird Road, just north of the Collegeway. Local firefighters had to be called to extricate the body from the wreckage after which the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's next of kin have been notified, however, police are not releasing his name at this time. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday. The Peel Regional Police Major Collision Bureau is investigating this accident and anyone with information related to it is asked to contact 905-453-2121, ext. 3710. Dec. 9 to Friday, Dec. 23.
