- George had been a policeman in London, England before emigrating. He continued this profession in Toronto before resigning in 1889 and buying the farm "The Pines" on #5 Highway, Trafalgar Township, joining other King family members in the area. He was a tax collector for the area, and secretary of the Farmers' Club. Polly Helston had emigrated to Canada with her family when she was 13 years old. She had worked as a maid for Sir Henry Pellet, the builder of Casa Loma in Toronto.
The family were members of the Knox Church Sixteen, and maintain that congregation connection to this day. - Notes

March 24, 1956. Ernest Charles, b.June 5, 1893 d. June 14, 1967. Harriet, called "Ettie", May, b. July 7, 1896 d. April 14, 1984. John "Percy", b.September 5, 1898 d.January 26, 1977. Violet Winnifred, b.February 11, 1903 d.February 5, 1988. Dora Alberta, b. July 16, 1906 d.April 15, 1998.
