Description
Adam E. Armstrong, soldier, office clerk, municipal politician. Adam Armstrong was born in 1895, the son of James Armstrong and Ann James Campbell. He married Norah Hannant in 1921. They had two sons. He was Town Auditor for 1932-1935, Town Councillor 1937-1939 and 1942-1943. He was Mayor in 1940-41. He died in Toronto in 1957 and was survived by his wife and two sons, John James of Toronto and the Rev. Ronald Edward of Ajax, Ontario. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
