Hornets heroics in Whitby Leah MacSween's tie-breaking goal with three minutes left in regulation lifted the Oakville novice A Hornets to a 2-1 victory over Clarington in the final of the recent Whitby Tournament of Heroes girls hockey tournament. Ava Henry had the other goal in the final for the Hornets, who defeated London 3-1, tied Whitby 1-1 and edged Clarington 2-1 earlier in the tournament. Other members of the team are Brooke Belzar, Katie Stone, Kyleise Rolf Von Den Baumen, Fiona Gervin, Athena Vasdani, Jessica Haylock, Nicole O'Leary, Quinn Dawson, Madison Dobrowolski, Jenni Randell, Charlotte Guay, Paige Oliver, Olivia Hledin, Reese Oliver and Selena Monardo.
