Description
Edith R. Dick was born in Milton in 1906, the daughter of William I.Dick and Margaret Young. She was educated in Milton and spent two years at the University of London. She left to enroll in the John Hopkins Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland, where she received nurse's training. She had extensive experience in Toronto hospitals and during WWII she spent over four years with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, serving in Canada, England and Europe. She died in 1978 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
