Description
George Elliott was born in 1902 in the Scotch Block, Esquesing Township. He was the son of George Elliott and Margaret Ann Currie. He attended Ligny Public School. He wanted to became a teacher and graduated from Hamilton Normal School and began teaching at Milton Heights School. He then studied to become a lawyer and graduated in 1928. In 1961 he concluded his law practice when he was named Judge for Halton County. He married Alice C. M. Tight and they had three children, one son and two daughters. He was a Town Councillor and Mayor. He died in 1965 and was survived by his wife and son, J.William "Bill" of Port Arthur. He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
