Description

Bruce Fitzgerald was born in 1894 in Colborne, Ontario the son of John Robert Fitzgerald and Annie Sloane. He served in both World War I and World War II. He worked for the Bank of Toronto at various locations before coming to Milton in 1934 where he founded the F. W. B. Fitzgerald Insurance Agency. He married Orpha I. McLenahan and they had one child, a daughter.
He was a member of Grace Anglican Church, Secretary of the Milton District Hospital Board and a Justice of the Peace. He died in 1961 and was survived by his wife and daughter, Elizabeth Anne (Mrs. W. J. Duignan). He was interned in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
