- Dr. King was born in Hornby in 1897, the son of John Thomas King and Mary Matilda Graham. Following military service in WWI he enrolled in dentistry at the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. In 1900 he married Florence Kennedy. They had three children, one son and two daughters. Dr. King died in 1976. He was survived by his wife and three children, Mary Joan Muir of Calgary, Lenore Young of Woodstock and Dr. John King of Grimsby. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
