The event has, for the past 16 years, supported water projects worldwide through World Vision Canada. To date, the event has raised $810,000 for the organization. What began as a silly, fun thing for Todd and Trent Courage has grown. After this dip, the brothers expect to raise just under $1 million overall for World Vision. Drawing people from Oakville, the GTA and beyond, the dip boasted 800 dippers last year. Dippers go into the lake in waves of 200 for safety reasons.
