Shop Local nears anniversary Now that the holiday season is over, it's time to get back into the regular routine. February marks the one year anniversary of the Shop Local, Shop Halton Hills campaign. A year ago, myself, Economic Development Officer Doug Penrice, along with business partners, merchants and local media, envisioned a campaign that would encourage consumers to think of Halton Hills merchants first. The Shop Local logo has been prominently displayed in over 500 locations. I would like to thank all of you for shopping local and making this program a success.
