NAZAR, DR. Bill (William Gerald) DC June 15, 1970-December 13, 2011 Bill, beloved father of Benjamin and fiancé of Crystal Hill, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the age of 41 years. We mourn the loss of Bill from this life but want to celebrate him and what he brought and still brings to ours. Bill will be forever missed and fondly remembered by not only Ben and Crystal, but also his parents, Dennis and Margaret, his sisters and their families, Elizabeth Langill (husband Paul, nieces Sarah and Mary and nephew David) and Kathleen Corbett (husband Jim, nieces Abby and Stella), big brother Michael (wife Lisa, nieces Hannah and Olivia), Benjamin's mother Kate Nazar and her parents, Jim and Carmen Dewar and Anne Cluett, and his many patients, hockey buddies, BNI'ers, Rotarians and friends. Born in Ottawa, Bill grew up with his sisters and brother in St. Catharines, Ontario. After completing elementary school at St. Alexander's in Fonthill, Bill attended Denis Morris High School and finally Ridley College, where he pursued his passion for rowing. Bill then followed in his Dad's and brother's footsteps and attended the University of Western Ontario in London where he earned his BSc in Mathematics. He then decided his calling was to be a Chiropractor, just like his big brother and Uncle Gerry Nazar, and graduated from New York Chiropractic College. Bill settled his family in Oakville, Ontario, and established NAZAR FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC on Lakeshore Road over 14 years ago. Bill loved spending time at Dad's cottage on Sandy Island, Lake Nipissing with his family and his dear friends. He also loved hockey, whether it was coaching Ben's hockey team or playing himself. And let's not forget the Toronto Maple Leafs. But even with all of that, Bill's biggest joy in life was by far his son Benjamin and he was the perfect Dad. He will always be remembered for his big smile, his charm and wit, his great hugs and for being larger-than-life. Anyone who knew Bill will find it hard to imagine him not bursting into the room at any minute. Although he will be sorely missed by the many whose lives he has touched, he will never be forgotten. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Sunday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Brant Street, (at Blairholm) Burlington on Monday December 19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Burlington Golf and Country Club. Private Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to Benjamin Nazar and TD Canada Trust, A/C #1020-6794197 (under Paul Langill) or cheques payable to Benjamin Nazar may be left with the family at the funeral home or reception. www.smithsfh.com.
