The Process The study conducted in accordance with the requirements for a Schedule "C" project as described in the Municipal Engineers Associations Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) document (October 2000, as amended in 2007). The Class EA process includes public review and agency consultation, an evaluation of road improvement alternatives, an assessment of the potential environmental effects of the proposed improvements, and identification of reasonable measures to mitigate any adverse impacts that may result. Key elements of the Recommended Design · Pave the 2-lane Winston Churchill Boulevard · Improve surface drainage · Improve the geometric and sightlines along the corridor · Mitigate vegetation impacts and preserve heritage stone fences · Protect habitat in compliance with the Ontario Endangered Species Act · Install an all-way stop sign at Ballinafad Road intersection and Olde Base Line Road intersection An Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the planning and decision making process and by this notice is being placed on public record for review at the following locations for 30 calendar days, beginning April 5 and ending May 4, 2010.
