- Description
- In 2011, the Town of Oakville replaced this plaque which was on the outdoor Trafalgar Township war memorial with one better able to weather the elements. This original plaque now resides at the top of the stairs in the old Palermo schoolhouse. The schoolhouse is now the home of the Trafalgar Township Historical Society. The plaque had originally been placed in the Trafalgar Town Hall before it was put on the war memorial.
A link to more information about similar commemorative plaques commissioned by the community of Palermo and the Palermo Community Hall is provided under the photograph in this record. - Inscriptions
