In Focus, June, 2010 8 Georgie-a-thon Students at George Kennedy Public School took a break from their lessons on May 7 to bike, skip, kick, run, jump, dance and shoot at the Georgie-a-thon. All of George Kennedy's 542 students participated in the fundraising event, which is named after the school's mascot. The kids participated in a variety of events, including soccer, hockey, soccer baseball, dancing and track and field. By the end of the day, they had raised $9,000 for their school. Great job, everybody, and thanks to the parent volunteers on the school council for making the day such a success!
