Out with the old After serving the Town of Halton Hills in many capacities, the old Maple Ave. fire station was demolished last week. The aging building had served as the sole Georgetown fire station since the 1970s and as the public works building before that. The new combined fire station and Regional ambulance station can be seen in the background. The official openings for the two new fire stations will be held in the fall. The Georgetown DISCOVER YOUR DENTURIST ---YOUR DENTURE SPECIALIST IF YOU WEAR DENTURES: 1. Avoid using pads, liners or denture adhesives to improve the fit of your dentures. If they're loose, see your denturist. Your gums, like your eyes, change as you get older. Dentures, like eyeglasses, must be adjusted or changed periodically. 2. Avoid using very hot or very cold water on your dentures, and don't let them dry out. Such extremes can cause your denture to warp. 3. Remove your dentures overnight and put them in a container filled with water. This won't cause your face to sag! It will give your gums a needed rest. Healthy gums will extend the life of your dentures. 4. Have yearly check-ups. Our office does not charge for consultations. If you follow these tips, your dentures will fit, function and look their best. You do not need a referral; simply call our office direct for an appointment. Creating confident smiles since 1982.
