Fall Fair opens tomorrow The 164th edition of the Georgetown Fall Fair opens tomorrow (Friday) and runs through Sunday at Georgetown Fairgrounds. This year's theme will be Ladybugs. There will be a ladybug farm in the Homecraft building near the Children's Centre, ladybug-based crafts, and a ladybug scavenger hunt in the building so kids can search for them in and among the various displays. There will be new animals in the education tent and a Children's Activity Centre in the Kid's Corral. Also new this year will be reduced rates for midway rides. Ticket prices will be $3 each, or eight for $20. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. all midway rides will be only $2. New performers lined up include Goodman Brothers playing classic rock on the main stage Saturday. Johnie and The Phatt Cats will entertain with 50s and 60s rock and roll on the main stage Sunday. The Amazing Daring Derek will perform both Saturday and Sunday in the Children's Centre. The fair runs 4-11 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
