CAShh not soliciting funds By LISA TALLYN Staff Writer Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CAShh) has received several calls from area residents reporting that someone has called them saying they are raising money for the organization's wig program. CAShh president Joanne Markus wants everyone to know that the organization is not making the calls and the only phone solicitation that is done on behalf of CAShh is for ticket sales for a benefit hockey game organized by Halton Woodcarvers (Jan. 9 at Mold-Masters SportsPlex) and in the summer for a benefit concert. Markus said, to date, they have not heard that anyone has given money to the caller, and the phone number the call is originating from is blocked. "We are so fortunate to have such great support from our community and hate the thought of anyone being misled and possibly being stolen from," said Markus.
