12 Independent & Free Press, Tuesday,October 19, 2010 `Ironman' Warner 15th Georgetown resident Courtney Warner completed the sport of triathlon's toughest race earlier this month, finishing the Ford Ironman World Championship at Kona, Hawaii in a time of 15 hours, 20 minutes and 16 seconds. The 70-year-old recently retired sales manager placed 15th in the men's 70-74 age group and was the 1,704th competitor to cross the finish line out of the nearly 2,000 athletes who qualified for the event. Warner recorded times of 1:39:46 for the 2.4-mile swim, 7:31:54 in the 112mile bike segment and 5:50:10 over the 26.2mile marathon run.
