Newly elected Chair Kathleen Dills is a very proud 4th generation resident of Acton where she resides with husband Steve Hartnagle and their two boys, Matt (19) and JD (21). For the past 15 years Kathleen has worked for Purity Life Health Products, a SunOpta company, a national distributor of vitamins, supplements and natural personal care products in the positions of product development, marketing and vendor relations. Kathleen is also an enthusiastic volunteer with Heritage Acton and the Acton Town Hall Centre restoration project as well as the Halton Hills Cultural Round Table and the Big Daddy Festival. Kathleen has served the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce on the Membership Services Committee and as President Elect. "As a resident and business person in Halton Hills, I believe that the Chamber plays a vital role in linking business and community," says Ms Dills. "The Chamber proactively addresses issues affecting its members and therefore our broader community. It is absolutely critical in these times to have a strong business community that works together." Appointed to the Executive Committee as Vice-Chairs are Glen MacDonald, Georgetown Chevrolet Buick GMC and Denise Dilbey, a Real Estate Agent with Royal LePage Meadowtowne Realty and Cindy Steffensen of Steffensen & Co. Professional Accountants as Treasurer. Helen MacCormack of Partners in Planning will complete her final year on the Board as Past Chair. Returning to the 2010-2011 Board to complete their three-year terms are: Cor Baarda, Knowledge Management Enterprises and Wendy Farrow Reed, Synergy Benefits Consulting Inc. Joining the Board this year to begin a three-year term is Trevor Buttle, Buttle and Tavano Professional Corporation; Steven Prestipino, Express Employment Professionals; Carman Widdess, Georgetown Chrysler Dodge Jeep; Art Skidmore, Halton Hills Community Energy Corporation and Tracey Wellon , TY Virtual Assistant.
