Photo by Ted Brown Garden to aid food bank vandalized-- again By LISA TALLYN Staff Writer Members of the École Sacré-Coeur Environment Committee carefully plant their garden each year and eagerly await the harvest of vegetables they donate to the Georgetown Bread Basket. They have also planted numerous trees and put in a butterfly garden in an effort to beautify their school's yard. They love to watch their efforts come to fruition, but are frustrated and disappointed that someone has damaged their plants and trees and stolen their vegetables-- three times since July. "We wonder why you broke our trees in our school yard and stole the vegetables in our vegetable garden," said students Justin Lavictoire and Kelly Karim in a letter sent to The Independent & Free Press. "Our vegetable garden produces an abundance of vegetables that we donate to the Georgetown Bread Basket, an organization that most of you are familiar with."
