Police seeking three suspects in armed holdup at Bell World Halton Police are looking for three male suspects in connection with an armed robbery at Bell World on Guelph St. Monday night. Police say about 8:40 p.m. a male employee of the store was in the back getting ready to close for the night when he heard someone in the main area of the shop. As he came out front he was confronted by a man with a gun, while another suspect turned out the lights. A third suspect ordered another employee-- a female-- to the ground, while one of the men went into the store room and removed approximately $10,500 worth of cell phones including several Blackberrys, Samsungs and two iPhones. An undisclosed quantity of cash was also taken, then the suspects left through a door on the west side of the building. No one was injured. Police responded with the canine unit, but no suspects were found. There is no description of two of the males. The third suspect was wearing a black-hooded puffy jacket and a black bandana across his face. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Const. John Peppler at 905878-5511 ext. 2450 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). 5 Independent & Free Press, Thursday, November 25, 2010 OFFER EXTENDED CALL TODAY FREE ACCESSORY on the purchase of a gas, wood or pellet product.* Wh choose Why h R Regency® and Hampton® Gas and Wood Fireplace Products? ·Cut Home Heating Costs ·Enjoy Peace of Mind ·Complement your Style Somerville elected FCM forum vice-chair Wards 1&2 Regional Councillor Clark Somerville was elected as vice-chair of the Rural Forum at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) recently.
