Police say the suspect entered the kiosk brandishing a knife and demanded cash from the male attendant. The attendant handed over a small quantity of cash and the suspect fled in a northwesterly direction on foot. The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, approximately 6' to 6'2", 230 to 260 lbs. with a large belly, olive complexion, possibly European descent, dark coloured beard and dark hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured, long-sleeved T-shirt with a symbol on the left chest, dark-coloured toque, baggy blue jeans, black and white basketball shoes and darkcoloured gloves. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-878-5511 ext. 2415 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. ··· Halton Police are appealing for information from the public on a break and enter into an Acton home Tuesday (Nov. 30) where approximately 75 Irish dancing medals were stolen. Police say the medals belonged to the homeowner's granddaughter and are of "extreme sentimental value." Also taken from the George St. home sometime between 9 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. was a small antique safe containing personal papers, antique binoculars, two antique cameras, an antique telephone, American money, black iPod, women's jewelry, and about 10 bottles of liquor.
