Challenger Motor Freight Co., escorted by Halton Regional Police, will be transporting the vats, that are 150 ft. in length x 24 ft. wide x 25 ft. high, weather permitting, between about 9 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. The move has already been postponed once due to weather, then cancelled temporarily because of mechanical difficulties. Weather permitting, the plan now is that on Dec. 12 the vats will travel from Hamilton along Hwy. 5 and park on Dundas St. at Kerns Rd. in Burlington at 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13 for the day. · At 9 p.m. the cargo will travel east on Dundas St. to Bronte Rd. · North on Bronte Rd. to Derry Rd. · East on Derry Rd. to Trafalgar Rd. · North on Trafalgar Rd. to Steeles Ave. · East on Steeles Ave. to Winston Churchill Blvd. where Peel Regional Police Service will take over. It is expected to arrive there by 6 a.m. Tuesday.
