Letters to the editor DUMP THE WEIGHT FOR GOOD. Thanks for making Santa parade fun Dear editor, Recently we participated in the annual Lions Club Santa Claus Parade, followed by a studio family Christmas party. As always we enjoyed every minute of it and would like to thank a few individuals and local businesses that helped make our experience extra special. Thank you to Blake at Lasting Impressions for creating a magical and magnificent float and for transporting our sound system that provided music for our "dancing presents" along the parade route. Thank you to Pinecone Music for its generous donation of sound equipment on numerous occasions. Thank you to Carla Hassell of Sign Works for the lovely studio banner. Thanks to Paul Paquette for his lastminute technical support. Thank you to Just Cupcakes and Get the Scoop for donating the delicious desserts for the party. Lastly, thank you to all our wonderful dancers and parent volunteers for sharing your time and talents with us and the community and helping to spread Christmas cheer around Georgetown. We feel blessed to be part of such a great community and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We were able to make more than $8,000 profit for the Field of Dreams project (now called the Kiwanis Field). Our thanks to all who donated to our silent and live auctions! As an aside, we have now had two events at the Gellert Community Centre (Lobsterfest last June and now Harvestfest). We received outstanding customer service from the staff there both times. We felt like valued customers. Congrats to the Town's Recreation Department for creating such a culture of helpfulness.
