The Committee is interested in hearing from mothers about their experiences with breastfeeding, and will review the results of the surveys to identify opportunities for improving mothers' breastfeeding experiences across the pregnancy/ birth/postpartum continuum. Supporting the Hospital One Honk at a Time Darren Pydych and Jacob Vienneau pictured here, narrowed the generation gap for charitable giving one honk at a time. After encouraging the drivers of passing vehicles to honk their horns to support Georgetown Hospital, the 12 year old boys donated one dollar of their own savings for every horn honked. They personally presented a donation of $92 to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation. Now that's creative fundraising! Thanks for your Support On January 10, 2011 HHS made a presentation to Halton Hills Town Council requesting financial support for the addition of a CT Scanner and expansion and renovation to the Diagnostic Imaging and Emergency Departments at Georgetown Hospital. Two weeks later, on January 24, 2011 more than 20 individuals from the hospital and the community of Halton Hills addressed Town Council at a Public Meeting convened to gather input that would assist Council in responding to this request. Town staff also presented a report which identified financing options available for Council members to consider in their decision making. Following the staff and community presentations, Council agreed to defer a decision on the subject for a short time to allow the Town to have a meaningful discussion with the provincial government about this project. Our sincere thanks to all those who came to the Public Meeting to share their opinions and to the many others who have called their councilors or submitted comments through letters and emails.
