Police appeal to public for info 9 Independent & Free Press, Thursday, March 3, 2011 Local man charged with committing several indecent acts Investigators from Peel Regional Police, working in conjunction with Halton Regional Police, are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information after a 30-year-old Georgetown man was charged with several counts of committing an indecent act. Police report between late Oct. 2010 and Feb. 2011 several teenage victims in the Winston Churchill Blvd. and Huxley Dr. area of Mississauga and Georgetown were approached by a suspect before and after school. Police say the suspect, driving a four-door gray Mazda 3, would approach victims and commit an indecent act. The Georgetown incident occurred about 9 a.m. Feb. 17 when a teenage girl walking to school on Delrex Blvd. saw the suspect commit an indecent act. Police learned of the allegations in February and began investigating. On Monday, police charged Matthew Smith, 30, of Georgetown with six counts of indecent act and three counts of criminal harassment.
