Both are members of the Bearcats' junior volleyball team, and play both the middle and power positions. In a recent game against St. Thomas Aquinas, Lenz had great positioning on court to dig hits in both positions. Kroezen displayed strong serving, leadership on court, and great tipping in the same game. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Courtney Keast and Michael Niemeier. Keast, a setter on the Rebels senior volleyball team, was chosen for her great setting at the Halton Championships at Sheridan College. Niemeier, a member of the Rebels' swim team, was selected for winning bronze at OFSAA in the 100m backstroke, beating his personal best by three seconds. Christ the King Catholic High School Athletes of the Week are DJ Ricciuto and Samantha Ceci. Ricciuto was chosen for his untiring help with the Jaguars' boys hockey team, making sure their equipment and water bottles are looked after. Ceci, a member of the Jags' swim team, was chosen for her good showing at OFSAA in the 100m butterfly event.
