Description
Youth of the Hornby Loyal Orange Lodge, No. 165 gather at Hamilton for the big parade on July 12, 1919. This honour guard for the banner had likely travelled with their families by train to the rally.

The young ladies wear their badges on straw hats that were likely made by themselves or their mothers.

Bill Lindsay had lost his right arm in a steam thresher accident.

The Laura Lindsay mentioned in the description was born Laura Frances Jane Lindsay on November 16, 1903, Halton County, Ontario, died November 29, 1995 in Toronto, Ontario. She was the daughter of William [Bill] John Lindsay, 1869–1949 and Rachel Brooks, 1873–1905. After Rachel Brooks died, William [Bill] Lindsay married Rachel's sister Alice. Laura Lindsay was married to Rowland Craig Jamieson, b.1905. Rowland died in 1942 while serving in WWII.
